H2DC started in 2003 as a solution for companies that need specialized services, but could not afford full-time professional engineering or project management staff. Since then, we’ve grown to provide contract electrical engineering services by the project
or the specific work package, as well as project management, within the areas of renewable energy, electrical construction and RF compliance — for both tower or antenna work. Our goal is to provide the electrical engineering services
necessary to get a project done on time and on budget.

Mike is passionate about alternative energy. He is a licensed professional electrical engineer (PE) in
over 35 states,
as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP). Mike's real-world experience originating and
managing industrial,
commercial and institutional facility design/construction projects,
allows him to easily direct cross-functional teams to undertake diverse projects.
He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lowell.

Currently Sunlight, wind and moving water are potentially unlimited and free to the public, while fossil fuels are not. If your location has good access to wind and/or sunlight we can design systems to convert this energy and connect it to your existing
electrical grid, or ‘islanded’ power system. Depending on where your location is, local and utility regulations will determine the level of difficulty to allow such a distributed generation system. Some locations may
have a fee or tax to pay, others may have none, and still others may provide lucrative financial incentives, to do so. Although financial models will vary, we specialize in the electrical engineering for these projects

is for a residential home station or commercial fleet charging, H2DC has the experience working with a variety of different station types and locations to get your project deployed and operating optimally.

<span class="inlineHead">Energy Storage Systems</span> With generation from renewable sources being sporadic at times due to cloud cover or lack of wind, coupled with specific demand requirements for your location, including
much higher utility rates during peak demand times, sometimes it becomes cost feasible to add-in energy storage considerations to your facility. Depending on your requirements, these can be AC coupled systems, such as those
produced by Tesla (or competing companies) and sometimes a DC coupled system, which is tied to a renewable energy design is more financially feasible and desirable. So for peak shaving or for zero exporting of power to
the grid, we can design a system that is just right for your project.

<span class="inlineHead">Radio Frequency (RF) Safety</span> OSHA and the FCC require notifications for workers and the general public when working in the environment of radio frequencies, particularly those from cell antennas/towers.
The non-ionizing radiation emitted from these devices must be carefully analyzed to understand exposure levels and associated risks. Communications towers need verification with FCC Bulletin 65 from the Office of Engineering
& Technology. We can be the independent third-party P.E. review for your reports and other radio frequency compliance work.
