These courses are created by top instructors and reviewed by experts to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information. All our courses are approved by the Florida Board of Opticianry for license renewal.</p>
<h3>How pofCE.org Works</h3>
<ol>
<li><strong>Sign Up:</strong> First-time users can easily create an account by selecting &ldquo;Sign Up for an Account&rdquo; and entering basic details like your name, address, and Florida license number.</li>
<li><strong>Choose Your Course:</strong> After logging in, select your course(s), purchase them, and take the exam at your convenience.</li>
<li><strong>Get Certified:</strong> Pass your exam, download your certificate, and we&rsquo;ll upload your credits to the Florida Department of Health&rsquo;s C.E. tracking system.</li>
</ol>
<h3>Pricing</h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>POF Members:</strong> Get up to <strong>5 FREE hours</strong> of online courses per year.</li>
<li><strong>Non-POF Members: $13 per C.E. hour.</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>We accept all major credit cards for payment.</p>
<h3>Flexible Learning</h3>
<p>Courses can be accessed on your computer or downloaded and printed for offline use. All materials are available in <strong>PDF</strong> or <strong>Word</strong> formats.</p>
<h3>Take Your Time</h3>
<p>Complete your course at your own pace. You have until <strong>December 31, 2026</strong> to finish your courses for the current renewal period.</p>
<h3>Instant Results</h3>
<p>After completing the exam, you&rsquo;ll get immediate feedback and, with a passing score, access your certificate right away. We&rsquo;ll upload your credits to <strong>CEBroker</strong> within the required timeframe.</p>
<h3>Transferability of Courses</h3>
<p>Courses are non-transferable and can only be used by the account holder with their Florida license number.</p>
<p><em>Note:</em> You must pass the exam to receive continuing education credit. Re-exams are not permitted. A maximum of <strong>5 hours</strong> of &ldquo;Home Study&rdquo; credits can be earned.</p>
<h3>C.E. Requirements for Florida Opticians</h3>
<p>Florida opticians must complete 20 hours of continuing education every two years, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<strong>11 hours</strong> on technical practice (dispensing, contact lenses, etc.)
</li>
<li>
<strong>4 hours</strong> for board-certified opticians in contact lens theory
</li>
<li>
<strong>2 hours</strong> on laws & rules governing the profession
</li>
<li>
<strong>1 hour</strong> of HIV/AIDS training (required for first-time renewals)
</li>
<li>
<strong>2 hours</strong> on medical error reduction
</li>
<li>
<strong>5 elective hours</strong> (can be in management, sales, marketing, or you can take technical hours in lieu of electives)
</li>
</ul>
<p>The current biennium ends on <strong>December 31, 2026.</strong></p>
