Description

For the past 10 years, SQS has built a strong technical infrastructure, developed testing techniques and methodologies and obtained an extensive experience in different business domains.
SQS has always performed testing processes both at the customer site and at its own locations, guaranteeing the reduction of costs and improving quality. Due to its important international growth with the location in Brussels and the increase of the outsourced activities workload, SQS decided to organise these services carried out at their facilities in Bilbao, Madrid and Brussels under the name of SOQUS, the independent Test-Lab of SQS:
SQS, by means of SOQUS, offers the client a high qualified, specialized and complete outsourced testing solution, based on:

A highly qualified and stable testing teams. Our team is formed by certified professionals: project managers, team leaders, QA engineers, administrators, configuration managers…An adaptable and flexible team that can be readjusted anytime upon customer’s request, effectively managing your QA testing processes.

A wide and complete range of testing tools Our staff is proficient in the application of automated testing tools and manual technologies, both cutting-edge tools available in the market and our own tools, continuously upgraded by our developing team. SOQUS has Test Automation Tools, Requirements Management Tools, Error Management, Configuration Management and Support Tools…

A set of well proven procedures that ensure a controlled process and a proper communication with the customer, assigning always a Client-Manager, responsible for communication and general assistance

International infrastructure to meet our client needs SOQUS facilities are located in Bilbao, Madrid, Barcelona and Brussels. The type of infrastructure required in each case is very different as well as the scope of the testing conducted. Therefore, the success factor is the capacity to install complex infrastructures in a short time and the capacity to design testing strategies adapted to each project. SOQUS has a large infrastructure continuously updated, that allows SOQUS to perform complex processes and has, as well, agreements with SW & HW manufacturers that supply the additional devices when needed in a very short and controlled period of time.

Benefits

The Test-Lab concept has shown clear advantages for the customer in terms of cost reduction. Besides, it offers some customers access to complex testing process that could not be performed within their facilities. It is possible to make a comparison of the cost of the same service depending on where and how it is performed. If we consider 100 the cost of a testing process at the customer facilities using its own tools, the same process performed at the Test-Lab has a cost reduction of more of 50%.

Since the very beginning, SOQUS was conscious of the prevention certain customer may have in externalising testing process. In order to ensure a smooth and efficient process, it was decided to start any process by defining the working procedures to be accomplished by both sides (Test-Lab Team and Customer).
SOQUS has got well established procedures to tackle the key aspects that lead to a successful service completion. Some of them are:

Criteria and requirements for the handover of applications

Monitoring and reporting procedures

Error Management tools and procedures

Capacity to offer personalise test environment maintained in time

Client acceptance procedures

Software validation and verification is a critical tool used to assure the quality of systems. Software validation can increase the usability and reliability of a product, resulting in a reduced rate of failure, fewer recalls and corrective actions, and ultimately less risk for users. Software validation can also reduce long term costs by making it easier and less costly to reliably modify software and revalidate software changes. Software maintenance can represent a very large percentage of the total software cost over the entire lifecycle. An established and comprehensive software validation process helps to reduce the long-term cost of software by reducing the cost of validation for each subsequent software release.
